Privacy Policy for the Storyfolk Novel Planning App

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Storyfolk handles data and what information is (and is not) collected when you use the app.

Information We Do Not Collect

Storyfolk does not collect personal information from users during normal use of the App. We do not request, store, or process data such as your name, email address, location, or the content you create within the App. All content you create (including story plans and writing materials) is stored locally on your device by default.

Optional Cloud Sync (Third-Party Services)

Storyfolk may offer optional features that allow you to sync or store your data using third-party services, such as Google Drive. If you choose to use these features:

• Your data may be transmitted to and stored by the selected third-party service
• Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies
• Storyfolk does not control or manage how third-party services store or secure your data
• Storyfolk does not collect, store, or retain your content on its own servers as part of this feature.

Support and Diagnostic Data

Storyfolk does not access or collect your content during normal use of the App. However, if you contact us for support and voluntarily provide files (such as diagnostic files, exports, or screenshots), those files may contain your content or other data from the App. This information is used solely for troubleshooting and support purposes and is not retained longer than necessary to resolve the issue.

No Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties. Any data stored through optional third-party services (such as Google Drive) is managed by those services and subject to their policies, not ours.

No Tracking or Analytics

Storyfolk does not use cookies, analytics tools, or tracking technologies. Your activity within the App is not monitored, tracked, or analyzed.

Artificial Intelligence

Storyfolk does not use artificial intelligence to generate, modify, analyze, or process user-created content.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and your work is not shared with or processed by any artificial intelligence systems.

Security

Because Storyfolk does not collect or store user data on its own servers, there is no centralized user data to secure.

However, we take reasonable steps to ensure the App itself functions securely. You are responsible for securing your own device and any third-party accounts used for cloud sync.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in this document with an updated “Effective Date.” We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
