Ode To The Villain's Daughter | Prologue & Ch 1 | NA Fantasy

I am looking for some beta readers who are willing to share their unfiltered opinion about my prologue and first chapter. The vibe of this WIP is gothic fantasy with a touch of humour (or so I try). The blurb is available upon request, but here is a writing sample from this story: The great hall was bustling with nightly activity. I strolled down the aisle flanked by bowls of fire, their flames reflecting off the polished marble floor. Tall arches reached up to a pitched stained glass ceiling. Dozens of pixies flew about the rafters where many had built their nests in various nooks. One pixy shot down from the ceiling and circled me twice before veering off. I watched it buzz around the face of an off-duty ogre who stood by an arch with his mate. His eyes tracked the pixie until he caught the tiny creature mid-air, plopped it in his mouth and chewed. His mate swatted his chest. I wasn’t sure if she did that to scold his manners, or because she wanted a taste of the pixie too. *I look forward to possibly working with you!*
