Kate has always wanted to be a fashion designer. When she gest into her dream school, she leaves Canada behind for a life in London. By chance, she bumps into famous actor, Ollie, who is immediately captivated by a woman who doesn't recognize him. Kate's instincts are to focus on her career and not fall into job of being someone's girlfriend but she decides to give him a chance on the urging of her best friend. Surrounding the couple are their family and friends who are rooting for Kate and Ollie, even when Kate isn't. As she gets older, Kate starts to question her definition of success and whether or not her teenage plans still suit her life. Spanning over fifteen years, Kate and Ollie reflect on life, death, and everything in between.
