Hand Of The Huntress | Urban Fantasy Horror Mystery (Book 1)

"Ten year old Harper Chase struck a deal with a demon to escape her neglectful, loveless life. The cost? Her hand. "In it's place she gained 'The Acolyte', a mechanical hand pulsing with supernatural power over technology. However, the mysterious, masked demon known as 'Doctor-Ace' frames Harper for her father's murder, kickstarting her life as a fugitive. "Now fifteen years old, and the most wanted felon in the state of Enfeucran, she still hunts him to settle her vendetta. Doctor-Ace kidnaps Harper's old friend, forcing Harper to ally herself with her childhood bully. "Amidst this blood-fuelled game of supremacy to determine predator from prey, one thing is certain: when you strike a deal with the devil, your life becomes the dealer's choice. "The first in the series." The above paragraph is the blurb for the novel. It is the first book in an urban-fantasy-horror-mystery series called "The Phantasmic Disquiet Series", filled with gore, mystery, and supernatural elements. Initially inspired by "Pretty Little Liars", the story took influence from horror movies, and a few other forms of media and genres. The main villain of the series Doctor-Ace is like a blend of V from "V For Vendetta", the Creeper from "Jeepers Creepers", and Jigsaw from the "Saw" movies.

Requirements & Requests

I would like to know your general thoughts, what you liked and disliked and where I can improve. I am looking for volunteers to read this manuscript, as I do not have any funds to pay for a professional right now. Any plot contrivances and inconsistences that went unnoticed by me will be sorted out if and when pointed out to me. I struggle with character voices, making them sound distinct, so any advice on how I can improve on that would be appreciated. And let me know if you think I've put the story into the appropriate genre.
