Woodland Wardens - Fantasy Novel

Enea is quite sure Archimedes wants to cause his early death. Squinting his eyes, he can make out Archimedes’ tall and lean figure, moving quickly between flames. His bronze horns reflect the fire, confusing the imposing and monstrous badger he is fighting. Sharp teeth snap in the air, tearing through the dark cape enveloping the guardian’s body. Enea curses the day the Spring chose him. Then, he walks decisively towards the other. Archimedes’ purplish skin is damp with sweat. He moves quickly, surrounding the monster with higher and higher flames: vertical thin pupils surrounded by golden irises.
