Kairon, with magical abilities granted by a goddess of death, an appearance akin to those the people feared, and a severe pining for his best male friend, didn’t have a didgeridoo as to what was expected of him. All he wanted - even more than his own happiness - was a world where his band of misfits could live as themselves without fear. Without persecution. Without loss. Summoning circles, a lost goblin child, and a terrified teenager were situations that were just part of his life. He didn’t need unbidden memories of the worst times in his life resurfacing. He didn’t need voices in his head that were not his. He wasn’t a martyr. If only the fates would work with him instead of trying to send him to the stars.

Requirements & Requests

I am looking for general opinions on plot, characters, pacing and plot holes. This is book 1 of a planned 6 book series so it is meant to be a slow world build. It is scheduled for editing in December​/​January and I would like to have a few opinions on it before I send it to my editor.
