Blood of Courage
Eleonora was cursed before she first looked upon Helios's shining light after her mother angered the war god, Ares. She grew up knowing how fickle the god's patience is, and on the fifteenth birthday, she was stolen away to fight for her life in gladiator torments per the god's wishes. Eleonora wishes nothing more than peace and freedom. The closest thing she will ever get to peace is if she takes the king and queen of Sparta up on their offer of asylum, but she cannot trust it. Not yet. When she is sent from her homeland of Sparta to the competitive throws of Athens for one competition, she mets the hardest match she's ever had. She returns to Sparta with a decision and a troublesome Athenian man on her heals. She can only hope that the protection of the royals will give her peace. Lysander had always lived in Theseus's, his old brother, shadow, in both life and death. Poseidon was never known for being a gentle god, and being his son did not change that. Lysander lives to achieve the fame of his brother, fighting in wrestling competitions and the occasional gladiator fight in Athens. When the girl who was notoriously known as the cursed fighter from Sparta comes to Athens, Lysander find himself nursing the injuries she left him. Rumors of Lord Ares and Lady Athena follow her just as much as a long trail of blood does. His father, forever in completion with the Goddess of Wisdom, wishes to know everything about Eleonore of Sparta and her alliances. Lysander finally found his way to rival Theseus.
