Dear Beta Reader, Thank you so much for agreeing to read my work! Your feedback is invaluable. To make the process as smooth and helpful as possible, here are a few requests and requirements: 1. Reading Timeline Please read the manuscript within two months of receiving the file. If you anticipate delays, let me know so we can adjust the timeline. 2. Feedback Focus I’m particularly looking for feedback in the following areas (feel free to comment on others if you notice anything!): Plot & Pacing: Are there slow points or confusing sections? Do the events flow naturally? Characterization: Do the characters feel realistic? Are their motivations clear and consistent? Dialogue: Does the dialogue feel natural and engaging? Are there moments that feel forced or unrealistic? World-building ​/​ Setting: Is the setting immersive and believable? Are there parts that feel underdeveloped? Consistency & Continuity: Any plot holes, contradictions, or confusing timeline issues? Overall Enjoyment: Were there moments that made you excited, emotional, or invested? 3. Type of Feedback Honest, constructive, and respectful feedback is most helpful. Specific examples are better than general statements. For example, instead of “I didn’t like this chapter,” something like, “In chapter 5, the scene felt rushed because X, Y, Z.” 4. Format for Feedback You can use comments in a Word​/​Google doc, a separate document, or inline notes—whichever is easiest for you. Try to specify the chapter​/​page whenever possible. 5.
