Our Mingling Shadows (YA fantasy)
After the death of Ivy's parents, her only goal is to find a solution to the ongoing Krisher-crisis. Namely, the shadow creatures that kill many people around the world. But how will one girl succeed at a quest many have failed? As she studies, all the evidence she finds leads back to one person. Claude, known to her as the only one able to beat her in class and an insufferable opponent. She finds out about the shadow powers that he has and what they could mean in relation to the monsters. When Ivy gets blessed with light wielding, she realises the gods have called upon her to free the world of this suffering. Will Ivy and her friends be able to banish these monters on their quest? Or was their entire plan based on the delusions of Ivy's grief and was it destined to fail from the start. [A YA fantasy novel with multiple POV's, complex characters and a unique magic system.]
